Brazilian Expeditionary Force – Player Briefing (BoB Campaign)
The Great War has ended, but peace has not come to the world. Old empires have collapsed, borders are uncertain, and millions are displaced. The Russian Far East and the lands beyond are fractured, contested, and rich with opportunity for those bold enough to act.
Brazil emerged from the Great War on the victorious side, yet remains distant from the councils of the great empires. Powerful interests within Brazil believe that the coming world will favour nations able to act independently, secure new markets, and attract manpower for growth at home.
To this end, a Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB) has been dispatched eastward under the guise of protecting Brazilian nationals, commercial interests, and humanitarian movements in unstable regions.
Officially, the FEB is neutral. Unofficially, it is expected to make Brazil matter.
The FEB has landed at Vladivostok, using the port and railway network to move inland. Local authorities have tolerated the Brazilian presence, and limited cooperation has been arranged where it serves mutual convenience. The FEB has already committed forces to help stabilise the port against external disruption, while avoiding open hostilities with foreign powers.
Brazil is not at war with Japan, Britain, China, or Russia. The FEB’s commanders are under strict instructions not to initiate conflict with recognised powers — but they are authorised to defend Brazilian lives, migrants, and vital infrastructure if threatened.
Beyond this, FEB commanders are given wide latitude. Brazil’s interests are not ideological. They are practical.
The lands beyond the old empires are full of displaced peoples, idle railways, abandoned depots, and ambitious rivals. Those who move carefully may shape events without ever claiming them openly.

Brazilian Expeditionary Force – Direct Objective
With the Great War concluded and the Far East in turmoil, Brazil has dispatched a small expeditionary force to Vladivostok and the surrounding railway network to safeguard Brazilian nationals, protect commercial interests, and oversee the orderly relocation of willing migrants to Brazil. Your forces are to maintain a neutral posture, defend key ports and transport routes, and move inland where necessary to secure strategic nodes or infrastructure, cooperating with local authorities and other powers only where it suits Brazilian interests. While avoiding offensive actions against recognised powers such as Japan, China, or Russia, you are expected to act decisively to preserve assets, control movement, and establish Brazilian influence in a chaotic and contested region, leaving Brazil’s reputation intact and its future options open.
